Mr. Reeg brings over 25 years of executive leadership in the ancillary healthcare market. He most recently served as the President of Maxim Surgical, a manufacturer and distributor of spinal implants, which he co-founded in 2011. Mr. Reeg led the design and development of a spinal implant that received FDA approval in 2013, which he then successfully commercialized.
Prior to forming Maxim Surgical, Mr. Reeg founded and operated LMI Ortho, a distributor of spine and orthopedic implants purchased from domestic and international manufacturers and suppliers. Seeing both the need and opportunity for more competition in the US market, Mr. Reeg was successful in acquiring importation rights for a total joint orthopedic portfolio. Working with surgeons in the US, Mr. Reeg provided valuable design and market intelligence to expand implant product lines to better meet the needs of the US market.
Before entering the orthopedic industry via LMI Ortho in 1996, Mr. Reeg formed Spectramed, Inc. – A multi-state home respiratory company where he served as President until its sale to a national healthcare company in 2001.
